Hello, hello, you lovely citizens of Feralis. And if you just happen to be a citizen of NW Indiana in the United States, then let's meet up sometime xD. Erm, anyway... I'm supposed to talk about admin crap? -gets yelled at by conscience- Okay, okay, I hear you... -drowns out with loud My Chemical Romance and visions of Gerard Way- So not much new has been happening with Feralis aside from the fact that we've had another staff member who we secretly don't like LOVE. (just kidding, Xan; you know I kiss the ground beneath your feet). My sickness is spontaneously getting better... randomly. But quite embraced xD. So singing screamy punk music is definitely helping, lmao. Seriously. For a girl I'm pretty good at screaming. I'd love to be in a band, but I'm not THAT good nor do I know anyone else who is! -hitsself- I keep going off topic, like I'm about to do. If you pay any attention to the television these days, you'll notice that for some odd reason, they're talking about presidents and things like that, which could either mean one of two things: one, we're definitely going to get a kitten, or two, Election Day is coming up. YAYOBAMA <3. Okay, now that we have that out of the way, don't talk to me about politics again. Ever. I will hunt you down and throw you like a fish. I do not liek politikz. >< So, as you can see, the ban on making ThunderClan and ShadowClan cats has been lifted... um... now we're off. Again. Shadow and Wind both have 4, as of now. Lmao. xD And Thunder and River both have like, 6. Yeah. xD ANd we NEEDNEEDNEED a Medicine cat for ShadowClan and ThunderClan, so get on it doodz! -is making so many intentional spelling errors- yeah. OH, and can you believe how fast time is passing? seriously. Almost greenleaf. By the way, I bought us a PETTT! I named himz Chibbles. -nod- I have no clue what he is yet, but we'll find out I guess!
It hasn't been getting much hotter or colder as we move into late newleaf, but things are definitely starting to look brighter. Everywhere you turn there's a bright blossom to greet you with its sunny colors, and the sun is usually poking out through the clouds, but occasionally through a blue sky. Time is passing so fast; It's hard to believe it's almost Greenleaf! It's definitely time to start training some apprentices so they can be ready in time for leaf-fall and leafbare, to face the harsh challenges the cold seasons bring, and to provide for their Clan. It hasn't rained in a week or two, but it shouldn't be anything to worry about; the land has been drenched in mid-newleaf, so a lack of rain shouldn't be a disturbance for now. Prey is at a comfortable number, and the river is beginning to warm, drawing a couple of its warm-weather fish into its waters once more; it's a good sign that this will be a good year for RiverClan and their hunting if the twolegs keep their noses out of it. ShadowClan would prefer more rain, but it can survive just as well as the rest of the Clans without it now, as both the cats and the plants have adapted to the strange conditions there. ThunderClan is enjoying the misty forests and plentiful rodents and birds, and WindClan is praising StarClan for a moon of less rain, for their moor isn't flooded and the rabbits and rodents are plentiful as of late.

Green-Leaf:September 14th Next Gathering:December 13th
Since it is nearly September, this will just be September's COTM. Anyhow, our lovely, first Character of the Month is the ThunderClan warrior, Ruggedpelt. She's quite diligent, but her chatterbox mouth can get her on the edgy sides of some cats! She means well, though, and is quite the character (no pun intended). The she-cat is barely out of apprenticeship at 14 moons, and it shows through her livelyness, carefree nature, and on occasion, ignorance, but that's like any young warrior would be. Most, actually. Fortunately, she has a lust to learn and knows when to pay her respect to her elders, and is overall very kind and warm to everyone she meets. Her roleplayer is Desired, who is handling 3 (going on four, I believe) characters with great grace, unlike myself xD. Great job, Ruggie and Des!
+ SHE-CATS. Make toms! Okay, it's not really banned, but just a heads up.
+ Calico/Tortoiseshell cats
+ White or Black cats, or white & black cats.
Lounge You can talk about anything here; play forum games, post art, writing, whatever. It's all good fun, so why not?

Adoption Center If there's a character that is in need of a good roleplayer to resume its roleplaying life, then it'll be located here. Characters are usually given up for the plain reason that the roleplayer is flooded with characters, or doesn't desire to play the char anymore.

ThunderClan Camp (7 sub-boards) Soft, distant meowing can be heard just outside the confines of camp, the clearing surrounded by a wall of bracken. Trees hover in and around the camp, as well, shading mostly the corners of the camp. A tunnel constructed of gorse creates the entrance to the camp, and just outside you can hear paws hastily padding across the ground. A cat approaches you quickly as you're about to set paw into the entrance, stopping you in your tracks. The cat sniffs you over to make sure you're a cat of the Clan, and after being satisfied, he steps aside wordlessly and stares at you with narrowed eyes as you enter.

Sandy Hollow This hollow has sandy, light, and thin soil, with lots of trees surrounding it, forming a sort of protective barrier. Traditionally, the Sandy Hollow is used as a sort of training facility for mentors and their apprentices.

Tallpines A self-explanatory name, Tallpines is laden with towering evergreens, stretching their needles up to the sky. There isn't much undergrowth, since the wide branches of the pines keep out most of the light, leaving only small mosses to flourish. Green and tan pine needles blanket the forest floor, but they're part of the reason that the soil is so dark and rich. It's pleasantly cool in the summer, but bitter cold in the winter, as it doesn't provide much protection from the wind. There's an occasional mouse or a squirrel scurrying up a towering tree trunk. Sometimes a bird or fledgeling may also drop to the ground from the massive height.

Snakerocks These tall, flat rocks with many crevices and crannies are perfect for sunning oneself on their sun-drenched plateaus; that is, if you have one eye watching out for those pesky adders. You can't help feeling as if you were being watched with snakes all around, their blood-red eyes staring at you coldly. You know they couldn't have you for their meal, and if you go to Snakerocks with a friend, one of you can sun on the warm rocks while the other watches for snakes and maybe catches one for the fresh-kill pile.

ThunderClan Border The dividing line between RiverClan and other outside territories. It bears a pungent odor of ThunderClan territory, of course, and is patrolled daily by, what else, Border Patrols.

RiverClan Camp (7 sub-boards) The highrock is where important ceremonies and announcements are commenced, usually by the Clan leader. Cats swarm around the large boulder to listen to the Clan leader's words of nobility.

Willow Grove Nested not far from the river, a towering, ancient group of willows sway pleasantly in the breeze. Their long, entwining branches are proof of their age, and some are even long enough to dip their branches into the water of the river. There is much moss and vegetation, and mice, birds, chipmunks, and squirrels make their homes here. The willows' elegantly long branches may make climbing slightly tricky, however; you could always stick to ground hunting, but on other terms, climbing up one of these trees gives you a lovely sunset and dawn view.

The River Islet & Steppingstones The River Islet is... well, exactly what the name implies; a small island placed directly in the middle of the river, surrounded heavily by foilage from the drooping willows from Willow Grove and towering cattails. It's a good place to try and cross the river if you don't feel like swimming or even an excellent place to hide... for whatever reason. Another alternative is the Steppingstones, a collection of boulders that rise just above the water; enough to cross in low water levels.

The Riverbed What else would be here other than RiverClan's namesake; the river of course! The wide, fast-flowing river is filled with fish and freezes over thick in the Leaf-Bare moons, providing an easier passage across than in the NewLeaf thaw.
WindClan Camp (7 sub-boards) The highrock is where important ceremonies and announcements are commenced, usually by the Clan leader. Cats swarm around the large boulder to listen to the Clan leader's words of nobility.

Horseplace The thundering of hooves is enough to drive most cats away from this place. There is many a barn owl baby fallen from their nest here, and plentiful mice; that is, if you get close enough rather than get kicked in the face by a massive equine hoof.

Lake Shore WindClan is located on the eastern shore of the Lake, which is large and supplies more than enough water for the Clan and a number of other prey animals that live within the confines WindClan territory. Careful not to get your kits and apprentices too close, though; WindClan cats know virtually nothing of swimming, and have known the dry moorland all of their life.

Moorland This moor, by definition, is a tract of open, peaty, wasteland, often overgrown with heath and heather plants, common in high latitudes and altitudes where drainage is poor. This means that if WindClan recieves heavy amounts of rain, it is likely to flood out. Many swift rabbits take refuge in the abandoned badger sets here, and the Clan cats must be quick and agile as their cousin the cheetah to catch enough fresh kill for the Clan. Squirrels and other smaller animals roam here as well, such as field mice, among the sparce cover.
ShadowClan Camp (7 sub-boards) The highrock is where important ceremonies and announcements are commenced, usually by the Clan leader. Cats swarm around the large boulder to listen to the Clan leader's words of nobility-- or harshness.

Carrionplace A main source of food for the ShadowClan cats. Occassionally, though, they can find food near the border, where there is a dramatic change in atmosphere divided by the Thunderpath. Make sure not to take any crowfood or rats back... but why would you do that?

Greenleaf Twoleg Campsite In every season but Greenleaf, this place is abandoned and littered with creatures and food; although, also an occassional bear and coyote that would happily eat any cat. In Greenleaf, it's full of humans with their small controlled fires and their small collapsable dens. Watch out, they may try to capture you.

Great Sycamore The great sycamore bests any other tree for miles, save for the tallpines, of which it matches in height evenly. The smooth white bark is patched with areas of darker brown, and its leaves are full and green in the Greenleaf moons, and the foliage of the lush tree turns various blaze oranges and flame reds as well as goldenrod yellow in leaf-fall. But even with bare branches, it's still a glorious sight to behold. It has a wonderful view of the landscape if you climb up its branches, as well.

ShadowClan Border The border that separates the dark and deviant ShadowClan from the /mostly/ good-hearted and noble ThunderClan cats is simply a Thunderpath; more than several fox-lengths in width, but don't let its size fool you. In the opposite direction it stretches out for miles on end, so far the eye can't even see how far it really goes, and no sensible cat would dare to find out. It can be life or death crossing this black, smelly, hot path, but sometimes it's just necessary.

Fourtrees Under a full moon, it is custom that every moon cycle the Clans come together to converse in a meeting under truce, inside the confines of Fourtrees. Only those who respect their Clanmates and the code are allowed to come, and are chosen under the trained eye of the Clan leader. Will you get to attend?
Twolegplace Any sensible forest cat would cringe at the thought of trudging into such a foul place, filled with noisy twolegs and their inefficient ways. But sometimes, it is just how StarClan wishes it that some cats must enter.

Thunderpath Why are you even here? The acrid, stinging stench of black asphalt and exhaust infiltrates your nostrils, but before you have time to blink, a monster whizzes past, its eyes gleaming bright with light and leaving a trail of water splashing onto you.

Highstones HighStones is the Clan term for the mountains on the edge of WindClan territory. The HighStones are home to Mothermouth, which holds the Moonstone. The Moonstone is a giant quartz crystal near the HighStones, between ShadowClan and WindClan's territories, and diagonally facing ThunderClan's territory. It is a sacred stone deep below the earth that the Clan cats go to to share tongues with StarClan. The Moonstone is a sacred stone deep below the earth that the Clan cats go to to share tongues with StarClan. To get there, ThunderClan must go through WindClan's territory, and, although cats are supposed to be given free passage through to the Moonstone, this law is not always obeyed, as seen in Rising Storm. The Moonstone, at first sight, is seen as a hole in the ground. As cats enter the hole, they go through a long, cold tunnel that slopes down, with absolutely no light whatsoever, sometimes so thin they feel their whiskers brushing either side. After going through the tunnel, the cat is then dazzled by an extremely bright light, caused by moonlight reflected onto the gem from a hole in the ceiling. The Moonstone is several tail-lengths high. To communicate with StarClan, all the cat must do is press his or her nose to the rock, and they fall asleep almost immediately. They then dream about their warrior ancestors, and are able to talk with them. Apprentices must go here before their warrior ceremony. Leaders in the old forest went to the Moonstone to receive nine lives and have the second half of their name replaced with the prefix "–star", and this is also true for Medicine Cat apprentices; they go to Moonstone to earn their powers that allow them to speak to StarClan, but the ceremonies are secret.
